Among the 40,199 candidates who have registered, 98 have applied under ‘people with disabilities’ category, 401 under the quota for children of ex-servicemen and 360 under the sports category. Competition for admission to medical colleges is likely to be tougher despite an increase of 475 MBBS seats with three new medical colleges and the addition of 25 seats in ESIC Medical College.
